CULAG COMMUNITY WOODLAND TRUST

CCWT was set up in 1995, originally to manage Culag Wood for the Community of Lochinver and the parish of Assynt. The wood itself is leased from two owners, Inver Lodge Hotel & Estate and The Highland Council. Subsequently, funding was procured to purchase the "Little Assynt Estate" and these two entities are managed by twelve directors, including four co-opted from stakeholders.

PEOPLE

Hilary Macdonald is our project officer. She is involved with running projects, sourcing funding, editing the newsletter, organising courses and events.

Ken Fairchild is the honorary warden of the Culag Wood, keeping an eye on paths and bridges and other features.

Volunteers:
Ian Mackenzie is the Treasurer and Secretary for the Trust. Sandy Glover devotes her time to dealing with memberships, petty cash and taking the minutes at out monthly board meetings. There are many people who volunteer much time and effort to the trust, thank you one and all for making CCWT a success.
